RULE OF PLAY FOR 50/50 RAFFLE
1. The 50/50 raffle will take place during the 2024 Central States Fair, August 16-24, 2024
a. There will be a daily drawing August 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21, 2024
b. Ticket sales will take place daily from approximately 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Winner announced at approximately 9:00 PM or before the grandstand event is over.
2. All tickets will only be sold to people who are 18 years of age or older.
3. Ticket prices are as follows:

-3 tickets for $5.00
-10 tickets for $10.00
-30 tickets for $20.00

All tickets will have an equal chance of being drawn as the winning number
4. Tickets will be available during Grandstand events at the Central States Fair in Rapid City, SD August 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21, 2024.
5. Tickets will be sold using paper tickets by Pennington County 4-Hers.
6. After buying, patrons will be given by the sellers, tickets with their 50/50 numbers. No specific numbers can be given as numbers are handed out randomly.
7. The winning ticket number will be selected by 4-H randomly from all raffle numbers sold for the draw for that day.
8. The amount of the 50/50 will be viewable at Central States Fair Grandstands. The winning number will be viewable on a TV at the grandstand event each night of the contest, posted on the Central States Fair Facebook page, and posted on the Pennington County 4-H Facebook page.
10. If the patron with the winning number on their ticket is at the event where the number has been drawn, they may then come to the 50/50 Raffle Booth at the Grandstands (next to concessions) until 9:30pm or the end of the event which ever comes first to confirm their ticket number and arrange for payment.
11. If the winner is not in attendance at the event, or does not wish to claim their prize immediately, they may claim their prize by contacting the Pennington County 4-H Office at: (605) 394-2188, or by email at: pennington.county@sdstate.edu. The ticket may then be brought to the Walter Taylor 4-H Building at 601 E. Centre St., Rapid City, SD 57701 at an agreed upon time for ticket verification. The winner will then be paid by cash for the amount posted at the event for which they bought their ticket. Or; the winner may make arrangements to bring the winning ticket to any remaining event during the Central States Fair for verification and payment by cash. Winners must have the original winning ticket and no copies. All payments will be made with cash and the winner must sign a receipt indicating they received the cash.
12. The winning ticket holder has until August 23, 2024 in which to claim their prize.
13. The winner must provide his/her name, address and phone number with picture identification for our report sheet.
12. Once the certified winner is verified, and provides identification with photo ID, they will be given cash in the amount of the declared prize which is, at minimum, 50% of the total sales for that day. If the winner cannot provide photo ID, then the winning proceeds will be held until such identification can be provided.
14. If no winner comes forward the number will be posted on the Central States Fair and Pennington County 4-H Facebook page, and under the Central States Fair Grandstands.
15. At subsequent events, the number will be posted at the selling station near the TV screen.
16. In the event that no winner comes forward, the winning stub will be kept in a safe and held until August 23, 2024. After that time period has elapsed the prize will revert to the Central States Fair Foundation and Pennington County 4-H.
17. The following individuals are not eligible to participate in the 50/50 draws:
Employees, Brokers, Volunteers of the Central States Fair or Pennington County 4-H. Any person under the age of 18 years old on the date of the drawing.
18. The above set of rules will be posted at each event along with the raffle approval letter from the City of Rapid City.
