2024 Mutton Bustin' Registration

Entry Fee: $10. Welcome to the world of Mutton Bustin’, also known as wool riding. This event is a version of Bronc Riding, transformed into a children’s rodeo event when kids try to ride a sheep for up to 8 seconds. Mutton Bustin’ is open to kids between the ages of 3-6 years old who are 60 pounds or less. Space is limited to the first riders that sign up and pay the $10 entry fee. Only one entry per person (entry limited to one performance). Any duplicates will be disqualified from competition. No substitutions, no changing performance dates or times, and no refunds.

PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE

Perf 1: Saturday, August 17, 1pm (Bray Arena)
Perf 2: Saturday, August 17, 2pm (Bray Arena)
Perf 3: Sunday, August 18, 1pm (Bray Arena)
P4: Sunday, August 18, 2pm (Bray Arena)
Finals: Monday, August 19, 5pm (Bray Arena)
Buckle Presentation: Monday, August 21, 7pm, Grandstand Arena (During Range Days Rodeo. Winner receives a rodeo ticket for him/herself and two more (participant plus 2). Any other tickets must be purchased as normal.)

Waiver and release forms MUST be signed by parent or legal guardian upon check-in at the performance and witnessed by Fair staff. A parent or legal guardian is required to accompany mutton buster during the performance. Grandparents, siblings, cousins, friends, relatives are not allowed to sign or chaperone riders. Rider will be disqualified if not accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at check-in and during performance.

Participants AND parent or legal guardian must show up at the west end of the Bray Arena at least 30 minutes prior to performance start time. Gear, including a protective vest and a helmet are provided.
