YOUTH LIVESTOCK SHOWS


All CSF Youth Livestock Shows are sanctioned wit the South Dakota Junior Point Show Association. Youth ages 8-21 can accumulate points at different sanctioned shows across South Dakota.

Pre-entry deadline is August 13 (entry price increases $20 per head starting Aug. 14)!

Our judge for 2024 Central States Fair Youth Livestock is Paige Miller.

General Show Rules & Information
  • No minimum age requirement.
  • No help in the show ring
  • Health papers are required at check-in Entries will be done online through the Showman.app website. No mailed in registrations will be accepted.
  • You may register on-site. Registration cost increases on August 14.

LIVESTOCK REQUIREMENTS
South Dakota state law requires all animals to have a current health certificate when being exhibited at a fair or livestock exposition. Health certificate should be issued within 30 days of the Central States Fair. They can be sent electronically issued from a vet and emailed to paige@blackhillsstocksow.com or brought to registration.

STALLING
Barn 8 is reserved for the Central States Fair livestock shows; with overflow available if needed. Stalls are not assigned, and are available on a first come first served basis. All stalls are pre-bedded, unlocked, and ready for your arrival. Please be courteous and pick up after yourself. There are limited swine pens available in Barn 9. Barn release is at the end of your show. No set barn release times will be mandated.
